Ivan Doig Archive - Digital Collection

The digital collection of the Ivan Doig Archive contains original manuscripts representing Ivan Doig's sixteen novels as well as ideas for unwritten books, hundreds of notecards used by Doig to organize ideas, research collected by Doig over the course of his career, pocket notebooks, letters, greeting cards, and postcards, original interviews, thousands of photographs (many of which were taken by Carol Doig), historical family documents including marriage certificates, land deeds, and medical records that document the author's battle with multiple myeloma.

Ivan Doig Archive - Physical Collection

Most items in the Ivan Doig Archive are available online. Some must be viewed in theMSU Library's Special Collections Reading Room,including Doig's original typewriters, family heirlooms, oversize awards, certificates, diplomas, posters, and other memorabilia. The Ivan Doig Archive also includes a selection of Doig's most cherished research books from his private library which cannot be digitized due to copyright.
